Get onto a few different reputable livestock transport companies and compare the prices. Make sure they are proffesional as I had a terrible experience trucking my mare from townsville to brisbane she arrived all knocked up and bruised from mishandling with a business by the name of Idaho... so I dont reccomend them! I don't know why anyone would take the longer route so let's assume that you will be taking the shorter route.. KM you drive during the trip loaded divided by the amount of fuel the truck uses while loaded times the price of fuel in your area. KM you drive empty divided by the amount of fuel the truck will use empty times the price of fuel. This will probably be a two day trip, a day there and a day back. You can add in your accomodations for a night plus meals if you want, if you have to hire a driver, or rent a truck and or trailer, that of course will be part of the equation.
