It isn't just the price of the pigs you need to consider either, as many store bought animals turn out to be mis-sexed, pregnant or sick - leaving you with the costs of expensive vet bills, extra caging etc.



Please adopt guinea pigs from a reputable rescue instead - you will be saving lives and there is very little chance of getting sick or pregnant pigs. (Please make sure you get a same sex pair - not just one. Guinea pigs are a social species and need the company of their own kind.)
