There's a night train from Milan to Amsterdam right now. The standard price for a second class seat is 144 euro; if the %26quot;Smart fare%26quot; discount hasn't sold out for your travel date, you can get the same seat for 29 euro. I would recommend a berth though - 160 euro at the standard fare, but as low as 49 euro at the Smart price. There are discount tickets available for the end of the month right now. This train will be discontinued for the summer after the end of May though. Then the best option would be to go through Zurich, taking the night train from there. Options through Paris will require you to transfer from the Paris Lyon station to the Paris Nord station to get a train to Amsterdam.
